Adult Foster Care Homes are categorized into three different types.  A home's class level is determined by the Senior and Disabled Services Division (SDSD) or another local area agency on aging.

Class I Can take in persons who need assistance in up to 4 Activities of Daily Living.

Class II Can take in persons who are dependent in no more than 3 Activities of Daily Living.

Class III Can take in persons who are dependent in 4 or more Activities of Daily Living.

 

Activities of Daily Living

  1. Eating / Nutrition
  2. Bathing / Personal Hygiene
  3. Toileting / Dressing / Grooming
  4. Mobility / Transfer
  5. Cognition / Behavior Management
